Since 1887, the Roxborough Home for Women has stood for a simple but powerful belief: financial hardship should never stand in the way of dignity, compassionate care, and a place to call home.
This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to make a gift to our Legacy of Care Fund, which helps ensure that no resident is ever turned away or displaced because of financial hardship.

What Is the Legacy of Care Fund?
The true cost of daily living expenses, meals, personal assistance, and a nurturing home environment is substantially greater than many of our residents can afford. For generations, the Home has quietly bridged that gap.
The Legacy of Care Fund formalizes that commitment. It gives donors and foundations a dedicated way to give directly to the heart of our mission, with the assurance that every gift preserves stability, compassion, and dignity for women in need.
Your gift helps us:
- Sustain our charitable investment in the lives of our senior women
- Bridge financial gaps when residents’ resources are depleted or delayed
- Protect our residents from displacement or a reduction in the quality of their care
- Strengthen our long-term financial resilience and transparency to donors
- Ensure that no resident is turned away or displaced because of financial hardship
Our Goal
Our ultimate goal is to fully fund our $660,000 annual benevolent-care commitment through charitable gifts.
Raising enough to cover at least half of it each year would be a significant step toward a stronger, more sustainable future for the Home, and a milestone we would be proud to celebrate with you.

Every gift, whether $25, $100, $500, $1,000, or another amount meaningful to you, helps sustain the mission that has guided our Home for generations.
