She brings with her over 20 years working in the field with children and adults with developmental, intellectual, mental, and behavioral impairments. She received her an associate degree in social services from Rowan of South Jersey and her bachelor’s degree in behavioral science at Wilmington University. Athenae has future aspirations of furthering her education by obtaining her graduate degree in Organizational Leadership.

Athenae  grew up in the small farming and fishing area Downe Township New Port/Fortescue New Jersey and she has always valued family and has a deep love and passion for helping people. She has continued to be true to this passion with advocacy for the foster care community, helping and providing humanitarian aid to the people of Haiti with the assistance of water well construction & other continued projects in that area. She is continuously looking for ways to improve the lives of people.

While she is a resident of New Jersey, Athenae has always had a love for Philadelphia and its surrounding areas. She has close ties with many communities within Philadelphia and hopes to bring those close ties together to facilitate relationships and add to the lives of the Residents at Roxborough Home for Women.
